Minnie works from a strengths perspective. Minnie will work with you to build your self-esteem and your confidence to strengthen your sense of identity and be the person that you want to.
Minnie will use a solutions- focused and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approach to assist you to find thought patterns that are not helpful for you (negative thoughts) replacing them instead with more helpful thoughts (positive thoughts).
Minnie always uses a systemic and family focussed approach. Every person has a system around them and this affects who you are today- your family that you were born into, your family and the people that you live with now, your friends and your wider community. Minnie will assist you to identify those patterns that are passed on to you from others. She will talk with you about the patterns that you want to continue and those that you want to change.
Self care is an area that Minnie will always come back to. Good self-care is vital to prevent burn- out; to prevent anxiety and depression taking over. Self care is essential for those of us that care for others. You will notice Minnie always asking what activities you have planned for yourself to keep yourself going. Minnie will brainstorm ideas with you and will discuss the impact of good self- care.
Minnie offers a warm and comfortable space at Thrive Wellness Hub, Wickham. When you arrive for your appointment make yourself comfortable in our welcoming waiting area and Minnie will bring you into her room.
Minnie is dedicated to creating a safe space where her clients can express themselves in a safe way. Where they can together set goals and develop a plan to work on, creating independence, happiness and a calm and fulfilling life.
